This post-diploma certificate program is designed to prepare early-career professionals for a career in Cloud Computing, particularly in the development of Cloud-based applications. Learners will develop competencies from determined Cloud application requirements, and the program scaffolds to give the learner the knowledge to develop specification and design architecture. Learners will proceed to develop an implementation plan complete with security and governance policies before implementing and deploying the Cloud application. At each stage, learners will write industry-standard documentation and they will verify with stakeholders at critical milestones. The program will culminate in a work integrated learning opportunity to assess the learning competencies gained through the program.

Admission Requirements
  • Completion of a diploma or degree in Information Technologies, Computer Engineering, Software Development, Management Information Systems or equivalent.
 
  • IELTS score of 6.0 with minimum band score of 6.0
  • TOEFL score of 83
  • BVC Academic English 2 with a grade of ‘B-’
  • Canadian Language Benchmarks score of 8 in each strand
  • Transcripts demonstrating successful completion of an Alberta Education English Language Arts course that is consistent with the specified academic admission requirements for their career program
  • Transcripts demonstrating successful completion of three years of full time secondary education at a school where English was the language of instruction
  • Transcripts demonstrating successful completion of one year of full time post-secondary education at a school where English was the language of instruction

This program is eligible for full-time post-secondary assistance by Alberta Student Aid for the funding year 2024/08/01 to 2025/07/31*.
