The Community Mental Health program prepares individuals to work with infants through to seniors through continuing education courses. The program will focus on awareness and prevention, supportive intervention, and treatment strategies. Hands-on experiences are gained through practicum. Graduates are generally employed in long-term care, addictions, penal systems, and community agencies.

Completion of a minimum 30 post-secondary credits in human service-related studies from a public accredited institution.

Indirect entry:

Completion of a minimum 30 post-secondary credits from a public accredited institution plus a minimum 3 years full-time experience working in the human services field.

Program requirements:

  • A clear criminal record check with vulnerable sector check.
