Admission Requirements
Standard Admission: Students must meet the following: 1. Alberta High School Diploma, verified by transcript with a 50% or better in Grade 12 English, or non-Alberta equivalent. OR 2. Alberta High School Equivalency Diploma, verified by transcript, or non-Alberta equivalent. And ALL of the following criteria: 1. If English is not a student's primary language, proof of English Proficiency demonstrated by achieving a Canadian Language Benchmark level 7 or equivalent OR transcripts demonstrating 3 years of full-time secondary education or one year of post-secondary education at a school where English was the language of instruction OR successful completion of a Canadian English Language Arts Course ( e.g. English 20). 2. Physical ability to do the job 3. Successful interview with school administration 4. Successful result on a keyboarding test administered by the school (15 wpm or greater) Mature Admission: Students must meet all of the following criteria: 1. Must be 18 of years of older 2. Must be out of high school for two or more years 3. Thirty-three credits towards and Alberta High School Diploma with a 50% or better in Grade 10 English, or a non-Alberta equivalent. 4. Successful result on an aptitude test (Wonderlic SLE) administered by the school (minimum score of 13; equivalent to grade I2). 5. If English is not a student's primary language, proof of English Proficiency demonstrated by achieving a Canadian Language Benchmark level 7 or equivalent OR transcripts demonstrating 3 years of full-time secondary education or one year of post-secondary education at a school where English was the language of instruction OR successful completion of a Canadian English Language Arts Course (e.g. English 20). 5. Physical ability to do the job. 6. Successful interview with school administration. 7. Successful result on a keyboarding test administered by the school ( 15 wpm or greater). Practicum Requirements: Students must provide a clear criminal record and vulnerable sector check prior to attending practicum
