Admission Requirements
STANDARD ADMISSIONS: Canadian Students 1. Alberta high school diploma, verified by transcript, or non-Alberta equivalent, OR Successful completion of the General Equivalency Diploma (G.E.D.) with a minimum of 450 marks in LA and Math respectively AND 2. Satisfactory interview with the school advisor. International Students In addition to the standard admission requirements, international applicants are required to fulfil the following requirements: High School Diploma transcript verification, and proof of English language proficiency. Transcript Verification of International Students High School diploma transcripts shall be verified via any one of the following the standard verification agencies: ? World Education Services (WES) OR ? International Qualifications Assessment Service(IQAS) Proof of English Language Proficiency for International Students under Standard Admission All international applicants must demonstrate English Language Proficiency, which will enable them to succeed in their diploma programs. Proficiency must be demonstrated regardless of citizenship or country of origin. These candidates need to achieve Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) 7 for admission to the diploma program. Candidates may select any one of the below exams and must achieve a minimum score in each skill category (reading, listening, writing, and speaking) to be eligible for admission to the diploma program. Exam CLB Level Reading Listening Writing Speaking IELTS - Reading 6, Listening 6, Writing 6, Speaking 6 CELPIP - Reading 7, Listening 7, Writing 7, Speaking 7 Pearson - Reading 46, Listening 46, Writing 46, Speaking 46 CAEL - Reading 50, Listening 50, Writing 50, Speaking 50 TOEFL iBT minimum overall score of 70 Duolingo minimum overall score of 105 MATURE ADMISSIONS: Canadian and International Students ? Minimum age of 21 years; AND ? Must complete an academic achievement test to demonstrate required competency. Following scores are required in any one of the following tests: ? CAAT Level C: Minimum score of 24 in Number Operations, 24 in Problem Solving, and 35 in Mechanical Reasoning; OR ? CAAT Level D: Minimum score of 24 in Mathematics and 25 in Science; OR ? TABE 11 & 12 Level A: Minimum score of 616 in Reading, 616 in Mathematics and 616 in Language; OR ? Wonderlic BST: Minimum score of 300 out of 500; OR ?
