Graduates of NAIT's Electrical Engineering Technology Program are distinguished by their high level of professionalism, their adaptability to changes in their working environment, their dedication to life-long learning and professional development, as well as their strong technical competence. Upon completion of the program, Electrical Engineering Technology graduates will have the ability to: - communicate and conduct themselves professionally in a workplace environment, - identify safety hazards and implement safe work practices, - create and interpret engineering design packages, - analyze and troubleshoot electrical circuits and systems, - perform entry-level field service activities, and - configure and test protection, control and communication devices and systems. Due to the high demand for electrical engineering technologists, program graduates can expect to obtain meaningful employment and satisfactory salaries. Past program graduates have found employment as electrical designers, technical sales representatives, field engineering technologists, maintenance personnel, project managers, testing and commissioning technologists, safety officers, technical writers, and technology instructors.controllers (PLCs).
