Admission Requirements
Interviews: Each applicant will be required to attend an in-person interview with the Student Advisor/Admissions Officer which includes a tour of the facility, information on program requirements, mode of delivery, attendance expectations and grade requirements for graduation. Students will be asked to provide documentation to satisfy the admission requirements (listed below) prior to being asked to sign the Alberta Student Enrolment Contract. Standard Admission Requirements: An Alberta high school diploma, verified by transcript, or a non-Alberta Canadian equivalent, verified by transcript, or a CAEC (previously GED). Students must have achieved a minimum of 60% in mainstream Grade 12 English. Transcripts of international students who have received their high school diploma outside of Canada will be verified through the International Qualifications Assessment Service (IQAS) or World Education Services (WES) to be eligible for admission to the proposed program. Mature Admission Requirements: Mature students must be at least 18 years of age. Mature student must complete the Canadian Achievement Survey Test for Adults (CAST) with a minimum score of 615. English Language Learners: English language learners must demonstrate proficiency by completing the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) with a minimum overall band score of 6, with no band less than 5.5 in the academic reading, writing, listening, and speaking tests.
