The Computing Science programs at Keyano College offer students an opportunity to integrate extensive software development skills with hardware skills. Emphasis in various programs include computer graphics and image processing, digital hardware, data communications and networking. Hardware facilities include dedicated circuit design and robotics lab, data communications, and networking lab, as well as six general access computer labs. Career opportunities for program graduates may include entry-level programmers, network administrators, software development, gaming programming, database applications, PC support, and networking specialists. Students have a choice of a two-semester certificate or a four-semester diploma program.

An average of 60% in:

  • English 30-1
  • Math 30-1
  • Two of Biology 30, Chemistry 30, Physics 30, Mathematics 31
  • Subject from Group A or B or C

Mature Students
Must be 21 years of age by the first day of classes, must have a minimum of English 30-1 and Math 30-1 and two of Biology 30, Chemistry 30, Physics 30 or Mathematics 31 with an overall average of 60%

English Language Proficiency Requirements

Student Aid

This program is eligible for full-time post-secondary assistance by Alberta Student Aid for the funding year 2023/08/01 to 2024/07/31*.

  • Books/Supplies/Instruments $3,810.00 Year One
  • Mandatory Fees $908.00 Year One
