Admission Requirements
Standard Admissions  Students must meet ALL of the following criteria  Alberta high school diploma, verified by transcript, with 50% or better in Grade 12 English 10-1 or 10-2 or equivalent  Successful interview to every student from the Admission Advisor regardless of high school diploma or GED OR  Successful completion of the General Equivalency Diploma (G.E.D.) with a standard score of 450 in Language Arts: Reading and Writing Mature Admissions  Students must meet ALL of the following criteria  Be at least 18 years of age prior to admission  Successful test result on Wonderlic (SLE) Exam with 20 points passing  Alberta high school diploma with 50% or better in English 10-1 or 10-2 or equivalent  Successful interview to every student is required. Internship/On-the-job Training  Current Police Information Check (PIC) with a Vulnerable Sector Search  CPR & First Aid certificates English Requirement English Proficiency- if first language is not English, must demonstrate English language proficienc y requirements (results are valid for two years from the day of testing) IELTS (International English Language Testing System)- Academic with a minimum overall band score of 6.0 with no section below 5.5 (ielts.org) Canadian Language Benchmark with score of not less than 7 in each strand. CELPIP general assessment at CLB Level 7 must be achieved in all areas. www.celpip.ca
