The Mount Royal University Massage Therapy diploma, recognized by all four professional associations in Alberta - MTAA, NHPC, CMMOTA, CRMTA - presents a comprehensive approach to wellness with an emphasis on treating chronic and acute conditions. Train to the highest education and national training standards at MRU. Integrating theory, practice and research, you will gain new skills in the health sciences, client assessment, biomechanics, neuroanatomy, orthopedic assessment, palpation and techniques. Gain real-life experience through our student-run practicum clinic and community outreach opportunities. Diverse opportunities may include applying your training at special needs clinics, geriatric facilities, addictions facilities, with elite and professional sports teams, or in pediatric clinics.
