- Completion of the NAIT Optical Sciences Eyeglasses Diploma or assessed equivalent.
- A complete Contact Lens Application Package showing proof of employment in the field and a qualified preceptor willing to supervise the practicum component, uploaded to your MyNAIT Portal account. The preceptor must be a practicing contact lens practitioner, optometrist, or ophthalmologist.
- A Letter of Good Standing from the provincial regulatory body confirming that the applicant is a licensed, practicing optician in good standing
- English Language Proficiency
- Applicants who graduated from the Eyeglasses program prior to 2015 must successfully complete OPSC615 Eye Health & Screening as part of their application to the Contact Lens program.
