Agriculture production is changing rapidly, and this leading-edge program provides the practical skills to manage production systems in today's marketplace. Students participate in hands-on learning opportunities with crops, livestock, equipment and technology that to gain insight into typical commercial agriculture production in Western Canada. These skills are applied to a unique learning environment designed to foster critical thinking skills on Canada's only Student Managed Farm. Graduates of the certificate program will have the knowledge and skills to pursue industry employment opportunities including positions as technical sales representatives, production advisors, research technicians, agricultural service boards and producers in the agriculture industry.

Admission Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Agriculture, Engineering or related field. Degree programs completed outside of Canada or the United States must provide the following additional documentation.
  • High school transcript with a minimum of 50% in:
    • English 30-1
    • Math 20-1
    • one of Biology 20, Chemistry 20, Physics 20 or Science 20.
  • Post-secondary transcripts along with a Basic or ICAP Document by Document Evaluation of your degree by World Education Services (WES). Check the WES website for evaluation and cost. The evaluation must show an equivalent of a 4-year domestic degree. (A Canadian or United States equivalent is acceptable.)
  • Proof of English language proficiency
