- Proof of a Canadian active Practical Nursing License showing membership in good standing.
- A minimum of 1800 hours of verified employment practice in Canada as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) within the past two years.
Learners must be sufficiently proficient in the English language to provide professional services in English. This requirement is met by providing evidence of being registered as a Licensed Practical Nurse in good standing in Canada within the past two years. For applicants who have not provided services primarily in English, they must demonstrate English language proficiency in ONE of the following:
- IELTS (academic) with a minimum band score of listening 7.0, reading 6.5, writing 6.5, and speaking 7.0.
- CELBAN Canadian English Language Benchmark Assessment for Nurses with a minimum band score of listening 10, reading 8, writing 7, speaking 8.
- Pearson Test of English (PTE Academic) with a minimum band score of speaking 75, listening 73, reading 66, writing 68.
- Occupational English Test (OET) with a minimum band score of speaking B, listening B, reading C+, and writing C+.
Test results that are older than two years are considered expired.
