The proposed Remotely Piloted Aircraft System (RPAS) Diploma program is an enhanced and more comprehensive offering with a focus on preparing students to be professional RPAS pilots as opposed to general hobbyists. The program will: ?  Train students to be professional RPAS pilots capable of operating RPAS in many aspects of existing and emerging commercial use. ?  Train and prepare students in accordance with Transport Canada's guidelines for licensing and complex Beyond Visual Line of Sight (BVLOS) operations. ?  Train students in the construction and maintenance of the RPAS. ?  Train students in inspections, mapping and processing of geomatics data currently performed by RPAS. ?  Provide the opportunity for students to be able to produce a usable product for their clients or employers.?  Provide students with the knowledge and skills commonly used in association with RPAS operation, such as data analysis, geographic information systems (GIS), and entrepreneurship.
