Question
Look for Work

“I’ve been looking for work for more than 3 months and I’ve come up empty. Now what?”

Answer

Looking for work can be a long and sometimes challenging process. But stay positive! The right job is out there.

Now is probably a good time to review your resumé to make sure you are using the right type to highlight your skills, accomplishments and experience.

The type of resumé that is best for you depends on your experience, the position you’re applying for and the industry you work in. Tailoring your resumé will help you stand out from the crowd.

It may also be time to ask experts for further assistance. Get advice and referrals about your search for a job from Career Advisors at the Alberta Supports Contact Centre at 1-877-644-9992 Toll-free (within Alberta).
