Celebrate Canada Career Month with Alis
This November, we’re excited to join the Career Development Association of Alberta in celebrating Canada Career Month. Working closely with Alberta’s career development professionals, we share the goals recently outlined in CERIC’s Beyond Decent Work Playbook to increase the number of people accessing career development services, increase the public’s competency in developing their careers, and integrate career development into current systems.
Alis is a key investment in Alberta’s career development services sector, providing a robust set of free, publicly available tools and resources to help you become more efficient and effective in your work. As part of that mission, here are some recent enhancements we’ve made to the site:
- A new Resources for Emergency Evacuees page to assist those facing an emergency situation.
- The PDF versions of the Easy Reading Job Profiles have been updated to a web-based format that integrates with the interactive Easy Reading Dictionary.
- Alis has 8 new self-employment articles focused on how to get started, what to expect, and how to balance self-employment part-time while working. For any of your clients considering entrepreneurship as a long-term career goal, these articles can support them along their journey:
