Connor is one of six incredible members on the Lac La Biche crew for 2026!
Tell us a bit about yourself!
I'm from Slave Lake, and I'm going into my last year of high school, which is exciting. I'm planning to go to NAIT after high school for the two-year Forestry Program, which I'm really looking forward to!
What is the biggest thing you learned from being a JFR Crew Member?
I have definitely learned how to be patient and how to work better with my crewmates.
Please describe your JFR leaders & Senior Crew Member with a pop culture/musical reference / meme and explain why.
My Crew Leaders and SCM remind me of the low taper fade meme because they are just too cool for school.
What would you say to someone who is thinking about applying to the program?
You should 100% do this program because you're outside every day. It's also a great program if you're thinking about doing something in forestry in the future. Awesome program!!
What is your favourite part about being a Jiffer?
I really enjoy learning new things that I can use in the future. It's cool to learn things that you can use outside of work.
