Tasks

  • Deliver and pick up messages, parcels, and other items by hand
  • Operate and drive automobiles, vans and light trucks to pick up and deliver various items and products
  • Professionalism in customer service
  • Receive and relay information to central dispatch
  • Keep a record of items received and delivered
  • Prepare, package and restock goods
  • Accept and deliver messages and packages for events, conferences or assemblies
  • Load and unload goods
  • Sort packages for delivery
  • Follow directions and read map
  • Use maps and other trip planning aids
  • Record trip information such as vehicle mileage, fuel costs and any problems
  • Set appointments for sales team
  • Perform administrative tasks
  • Provide customer service
  • Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
