The Administrative Information Management (AIM) diploma is a two-year program that provides the skills needed for office professionals to keep pace in today's rapidly changing business world. This program is designed to meet the growing demand for creative and innovative employees who can solve problems, create efficiencies, and increase productivity using business software applications. This program provides students with advanced to expert skills in word processing, database applications, spreadsheets, and presentation software. Through practical experience students gain a firm understanding of the role and importance of technology in an office environment. This program also includes courses in collaboration technologies and tools, communication and presentation skills, organizational behaviour, office administration, meetings and events, project management software, and integrated business applications. The diploma includes a four-week unpaid practicum placement in an office environment to give students real industry experience. Students interested in this program should consider applying to the one-year Office Professional certificate which ladders into the second year of the AIM diploma. This pathway provides students with two credentials: a certificate at the end of their first year of study and a diploma at the end of year two. Students who enroll directly into the diploma are not eligible for the certificate after their first year of study.
