The Bachelor of Science in Construction Project Management will provide you with structured management and leadership techniques further providing the basis for broader management decisions as well as on-site leadership in construction operations. The program prepares you for leadership roles in the construction industry. It has a major in construction project management and consists of a combination of core courses, specialty courses and general education courses. As a Construction Project Manager you will ultimately be responsible for every aspect of a client's project, including project design, planning, scheduling, managing employees and contractors, managing equipment and materials, and budgeting. This degree program is four years in length, consisting of eight 15-week semesters. This program accepts students into first semester in September. Note: This program utilizes an e-Learning (SAIT issued laptop computer) instructional delivery method.

Admission Requirements

An overall minimum average of 70% in the following courses or their equivalents:

  • English Language Arts 30-1
  • Math 30-1 or Pure Math 30
  • Two courses from Group A and one course from Group A or B:
Group A: Math 31, Biology 30, Chemistry 30, Physics 30, or Science 30

Group B: Art 30 or 31, Drama 30, Music 30, Physical Education 30, Religion 35, Social Studies 30-1, Social Studies 30-2, one language 30, other five-credit grade 12 subjects or a combination of two three-credit grade 12 credits, or five credits of advanced Career and Technology courses.

This program is eligible for full-time post-secondary assistance by Student Aid Alberta for the funding year 2017/08/01 to 2018/07/31*.
