STANDARD ADMISSION Students must meet ONE of the following criteria: a. Alberta High School Diploma, verified by transcript, with 50% or better in Grade 12 English and Mathematics 10 or any Grade 11 Mathematics, or non-Alberta equivalent. OR b. Successful completion of the General Equivalency Diploma (GED) with a standard score of 50 or better in English or Mathematics. MATURE ADMISSION Students must meet ALL of the following criteria: a. Out of school for two years. b. Successful test result on an aptitude test chosen by the school and approved by the Director, Licensing and Certification. c. Fifty credits toward an Alberta High School Diploma, verified by transcript, with 50% or better in Grade 10 English and Mathematics 10 or any Grade 11 Mathematics, or non Alberta equivalent. Addendum to Admission Requirement a. Participants are required to have a minimum of 30 wpm keyboarding skills prior to entering the course or a minimum of Information Processing 10 or Introduction to Microcomputer Course. b. All students under the age of 18 must provide a letter of parental consent. c. Schools will be responsible for ensuring that students whose education was in a language other than English posses sufficient skills in written and spoken English to benefit from the instruction given, (e.g. able to understand verbal instruction, ask questions, write exams, etc.)
This program is eligible for full-time post-secondary assistance by Student Aid Alberta for the funding year 2017/08/01 to 2018/07/31*.
