The NAIT Paramedic program provides you with the advanced-care skills necessary to treat a variety of medical emergencies. You'll learn how to diagnose and treat patients in a variety of situations from cardiac care to pediatrics to pharmacology and large-scale trauma. As a paramedic, you'll be on the front line of Alberta's medical emergencies and be called upon to give treatment to those in critical need across the province. You'll also be called upon to assist hospital personnel with medical treatments if necessary; and aid in the triage of emergency patients .

  • One of the following CPR certifications: Canadian Ski Patrol (CPR-C); Heart & Stroke Foundation (BLS for HCP (C), BLS, CPR-C); Lifesaving Society (CPR-C); Red Cross (CPR-C or HCP); St. John Ambulance (CPR-C or HCP); NAIT CPRS100 - Basic Life Support course
  • Proof of English Language Proficiency
  • Online Interview

This program is eligible for full-time post-secondary assistance by Student Aid Alberta for the funding year 2020/08/01 to 2021/07/31*.

  • Mandatory Fees $1,010.00 Year One
