As a Materials Technician, you will be involved in the movement of materials in a wide variety of industries including agriculture, forestry, health, manufacturing, mining, oil and gas, transportation and retail industries. Materials Technicians are employed by organizations that produce, process and retail a wide variety of products. Your technical training will incorporate hands-on learning. You may have opportunities for field trips and guests speakers.

Apprenticeship and Industry Training (AIT) entrance recommended path requirements:

Minimum Requirements:

  • ELA 10-2
  • Math 10-3

OR

A pass on all five Canadian GED tests

OR

Successful completion of AIT’s entrance exam
