The Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Urban Design is intended for early and mid career practitioners in architecture, landscape architecture, planning and other related disciplines who would like to acquire specialized knowledge and skills related to urban design. The program will combine students' existing backgrounds and strengths with focused urban design training to produce urban designers capable of working within complex urban development settings. Curriculum focused on the development of a structured design approach based on research and analysis ad considers diverse environmental factors, cultural contexts and economic feasibility.

Admission Requirements
Applicants must hold or obtain the following minimum qualifications before the Faculty will give consideration to admission: A 4-year baccalaureate degree or its equivalent from a recognized institution.

In addition to Faculties of Graduate Studies and Environmental Design requirements, the Certificate requires:

a) Evidence of original and/or creative work in any field or medium. This could include design work, professional work, research, creative ability, or ideas related to their statement of interest in Urban Design. The requirements for digital portfolio submissions are found in the Faculty of Environmental Design website.

b) Statement of interest.

c) A current copy of the curriculum vitae/resume.

d) Three reference letters.
