Admission Requirements
Standard Admission: Students must meet ONE of the following criteria: Alberta high school diploma, or proof of higher education, or non-Alberta equivalent OR successful completion of the General Equivalency Diploma (GED). Note: Applicants with foreign credentials must ALSO present one of the English Proficiency testing results listed below. Mature Admission: Students must be 18 years or older AND have earned 33 credits toward an Alberta high school diploma, or non-Alberta equivalent, and must pass the English Entrance Test with a result of 75% or better, OR, if English is not a student's primary language and they do not have educational documentation, proof of English Proficiency demonstrated by the achievement of one of the following test scores, OR achieve a score of Grade 11 or higher in the English portion of the Canadian Adult Achievement Test. English proficiency: Students must meet a CLB of 6 or higher in all strands, as demonstrated by: TOEFL iBT score of 53-100, IELTS Academic score of 6.0 or higher, CAEL score of 50-70, Cambridge score of CAE-C, CAE-B, CPE-C, MELAB score of 80-92, Can Tes score of 4.5, or PTE Academic score of 53 or higher. In addition to the above requirements, ALL individuals must complete a career research questionnaire and attend an assessment interview with a school career consultant to determine readiness for the commitment of this program, maturity, motivation, and realistic knowledge of the employment opportunities and industry expectations for prospective graduates.

This program is eligible for full-time post-secondary assistance by Alberta Student Aid for the funding year 2024/08/01 to 2025/07/31*.
