Envision Design Through Technology If you're interested in a career that balances creativity with practical application, the Interior Design Technology diploma is for you. Admission Requirements

General Admission Requirements: All applicants must meet the general admission requirements for Lethbridge Polytechnic programs, as indicated in the Admissions section of the calendar.

Academic Requirements: In addition to meeting the general admission requirements indicated in the Admission section of this calendar, applicants to this program must also satisfy the following specific course requirements (or equivalencies):

  • Grade 12 Math (equivalent to Alberta’s Math 30-2 or a higher level Math)

Practicum Experience Requirements: There is a required practicum component to this program. Lethbridge Polytechnic dictates the legal terms and conditions governing the practicum experience. 

Note: Applicants who lack the required academic admission requirements can apply to the College and University Preparatory Program to upgrade for your program.

Prior Learning Assessment (PLA): If you have experience working in this field of study, you may be eligible for Prior Learning Assessment.

A personal computer and an iPad and pencil bundle will be required to complete the Interior Design diploma program.

Mobile Learning Program: This is a Mobile Learning Program and requires students to supply their own device with required minimum specifications. Go to our website for additional information.


Distance Delivery Options

Courses may be offered in a variety of formats. The format in which a course is offered may change at short notice, depending on enrolment and student needs. The current delivery formats may include on campus/face-to-face (you will attend class at a scheduled time and location. An instructor will be physically present to assist you); online (the course is delivered entirely in an online environment); or, blended (the course is delivered through a mixture of face-to-face and online).


Application Deadline

New applicants are accepted into the Interior Design Technology program for the Fall (September) term.


Student Aid

This program is eligible for full-time post-secondary assistance by Alberta Student Aid for the funding year 2024/08/01 to 2025/07/31*.

  • Books/Supplies/Instruments $3,355.00 Year One
  • Mandatory Fees $1,582.00 Year One

* Tuition, books, supplies, instruments, and other/mandatory fees are provided to Alberta Student Aid and may be used when processing full-time post-secondary funding applications. The educational costs provided are based on a 100% full-course load and may not reflect current or all educational costs charged by the school.
