Admission Requirements
Standard Admission Students must meet the following criteria: 1. Alberta High School Diploma verified by transcript or non-Alberta equivalent OR 2. Successful completion of General Equivalency Diploma (GED) with a score of 450 in Language Arts (Reading and Writing) 3. Successful personal interview with the school's admission officer Mature Admission Students must meet the following criteria: 1. At least 18 years of age 2. Out of school for one (1) year 3. Successful test result on the Wonderlic Basic Skills Test (WBST) with a minimum score of 310 4. Successful personal interview with the school's admission officer Practicum Requirement 1. Current Police Clearance (with Vulnerable Sector Check) 2. Up-to-date immunization status (TB and Hepatitis B in particular) English Language Proficiency Requirement Students whose first language is NOT English must demonstrate ONE of the following: 1. Transcripts showing three (3) years of full-time secondary education at a school where English was the language of instruction OR 2. Transcripts showing one (1) year of post-secondary education where English was the language of instruction OR 3. Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) assessment level 7 OR equivalent (TOEFL-77, IELTS-6) OR 4. Successful completion of a Canadian English Language Arts Course (ex. English 20)
