The Graduate Diploma in Leadership and Advanced Practice is designed for practicing engineers who are looking to further develop both their advanced engineering technical expertise as well as their leadership and professional skillset in order to progress in their careers. The diploma program will build upon the professional and leadership skillsets developed in the certificate program. There will be a solid focus on building a strong culture within groups (especially safety and risk management) and effectively leading a diverse and interdisciplinary team. Students will have the ability to deepen their technical expertise in the same technical theme in which they completed the certificate program (if available) or gain technical expertise in a new area.

Admission Requirements

In addition to the Faculty of Graduate Studies’ admission requirements, all applicants must have completed the Graduate Certificate in Leadership in Engineering and Advanced Practice with a cumulative GPA of 3.00 on a four-point scale. Students must apply to the Graduate Diploma in Leadership in Engineering and Advanced Practice within 2 years from the beginning of the Graduate Certificate program.
