Admission Requirements
Standard Admission Applicants for the WIEE Professional Fire Fighter Program - Basic must meet the following prerequisites: Minimum 18 years of age. High School Diploma verified by transcripts OR General Educational Development (GED) OR post-secondary education equivalent to or above a grade 12 level as evidenced by transcripts. Minimum Class 5 Driver's License. Standard First Aid. Basic Rescuer - CPR Level C. OR Health Care Provider (Heart & Stroke Foundation - Standard First Aid-CPR/AED Level C, St. John's Ambulance or Red Cross). OR More advanced qualifications (wallet card from approved first aid training agency, ACP practice permit). Alberta Student Number. Applicants for the WIEE Professional Fire Fighter Program - Basic must submit a:Medical Form signed by a physician within 6 months of the first day of classes. Resume. wo letters of character reference. Mature Student Requirements: For Students who do not have a high school diploma or GED Must meet the following requirements. - 18 years of age and - Copies of any High school Education transcripts - Provide proof of any post-secondary training if you have. - Complete an academic review through Wonderlic and obtain a minimum 80% before admission to the program.

This program is eligible for full-time post-secondary assistance by Alberta Student Aid for the funding year 2023/08/01 to 2024/07/31*.
