Exciting Updates for Career Advisors
Alis has just introduced several new occupational videos and updates to the occupational profiles. We’d also like your feedback as on how you use alis and what type of content you’d find helpful in the future.
Occupational Videos
We’ve added 5 new occupational videos to provide insight into these occupations.
Occupational Profile Updates
The former interests and abilities sections have now been replaced with the Work Personalities and Abilities sections. These new sections are based on the NOC OaSIS database. The Work Personality section draws on the industry standard Holland Codes career quiz (sometimes referred to as RIASEC, an acronym for its 6 personality types), while the Abilities section has expanded to map a much broader range of abilities than was previously achievable.
Users can now immediately see how well an occupation fits their own Work Personalities or matches their Abilities. They also can learn more as to why it’s a good fit in these sections for greater insight or alternative options.
