Tell us a bit about yourself!
My name is Isabelle and I'm from Edmonton. I like playing rugby, camping, hiking, and gardening. During my free time I enjoy volunteering for people in my community and hope to create an impact in others lives.
How has your experience been so far with JFR?
I have thoroughly enjoyed the JFR program and the adventure and knowledge that comes with it. I have a better understanding of what I want to do after high school with the networking that I have had the opportunity to do. My crew has made this summer the most amazing time no matter the weather or situation and I could never ask for a better group of amazing people.
What are your future plans after high school?
After high school I want to become a structural firefighter and be a volunteer with Search and Rescue. I also want to join Alberta Wildfire during the summer as a wildland firefighter.
Describe what JFR means to you in 5 words or less!
Self confidence, collaboration, hardworking, adventure, connections.
What is your favourite thing about your crewmates?
My favourite thing about my crew mates is the constant support and positive attitude that is always present no matter the situation. I love the close-knit connection that has been present since the very beginning and the lifelong friendships and memories that we have created.
