Tell us a bit about yourself!
Starting September I’ll be studying engineering at the U of A, but my interests have always been in the outdoors. 11 years with the Junior Forest Wardens exposed me to the joys of working with nature, and this summer with JFR has only heightened my love and desire for this type of work.
How has your experience been with JFR so far?
So far it’s probably been the best summer of my life. It’s hard to match the excitement of experiencing so much, learning so many new things, meeting such incredible people, and receiving a pay check at the end of it all.
What is your dream job?
No real specific long term aspirations but seasonal work, especially joining a HAC crew, looks more and more enticing.
Tell us about your crew!
It’s really entertaining being around my crew, making the summer all the more memorable. It certainly wouldn’t be the same without their humour and the unique environment we’ve created. It’s also great being around such hard workers who enjoy the work they do, meaning we push through projects while having a good time.
