Tasks
- Inspect, measure and mark surfaces to be covered
- Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements
- Prepare flooring plans and scheduling
- Prepare tenders and quotations
- Prepare and install hardwood floors
- Inspect and repair damaged floor coverings
- Conduct moisture, ph, temperature and other tests prior to flooring installations
- Estimate costs and materials
- Prepare floors for installations
- Remove existing floor coverings and contaminants
- Perform direct glue-down carpet installations
- Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications
