Admission Requirements
Standard Admission: Students must meet the following criteria: 1. Alberta high school diploma, verified by transcript, or non-Alberta equivalent; successful completion of the General Equivalency Diploma (G.E.D.) 2. At least 50% in Math 30-1, Math 30-2 or Pure Math 30, or at least 60% in Applied Math 30 3. At least 50% in English Language Arts 30-1, or at least 60% in English Language Arts 30-2; 4. Must demonstrate English Language Proficiency (Canadian Language Benchmark Level for student whose first language is not English) prior to admission, including students educated in Canada. Specific English test required: a. A score of 6 and above in the Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB), or, b. A score of 6 and above in the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) 5. Successful interview with the College Mature Admission: Students must meet the following criteria: 1. Must be 18 years or older, 2. Must complete an academic achievement test to determine required competency. It is required that it be a standard Wonderlic test with a minimum score of 20 and above; 3. At least 50% in Math 30-1, Math 30-2 or Pure Math 30, or at least 60% in Applied Math 30 4. At least 50% in English Language Arts 30-1, or at least 60% in English Language Arts 30-2; 5. Must demonstrate English Language Proficiency (Canadian Language Benchmark Level for student whose first language is not English) prior to admission, including students educated in Canada. Specific English test required: a. A score of 6 and above in the Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB), or, b. A score of 6 and above in the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) 6.
