STANDARD ADMISSION Students must meet ONE of the following criteria: a. Alberta High School Diploma, verified by transcript, with 50% or better in Grade 12 English and Mathematics 10 or any Grade 11 Mathematics, or non-Alberta equivalent. OR b. Successful completion of the General Equivalency Diploma (GED) with a standard score of 50 or better in English or Mathematics. MATURE ADMISSION Students must meet ALL of the following criteria: a. Out of school for two years. b. Maturity, commitment to complete. c. Fifty credits toward an Alberta High School Diploma, verified by transcript, with 50% or better in Grade 10 English and Mathematics 10 or any Grade 11 Mathematics, or non Alberta equivalent. Addendum to Admission Requirement (Choice Requirements) a. All students under the age of 18 must provide a letter of parental consent. b. Schools will be responsible for ensuring those students whose education was in a language other than English posses sufficient skills in written and spoken English to benefit from the instruction given (e.g. Able to understand verbal instruction, ask questions, write exams, etc.). c. Entrance Questionnaire, Skills Appraisal Test (on-line spelling and punctuation, communication skills), Typing Test, MOUS Testing (Microsoft Office User Specialist Testing for Microsoft Word). (Is able to determine if student requires work experience component) d. One-on-One Session with Career Counselor who may refer student to have GATB (General Aptitude Test Battery) or CAAT (Canadian Adult Achievement Test). We have also referred students to take a CARA (Canadian Adult Reading Assessment) Test.
