CAMBROOKS COLLEGE Admission Requirements for Advanced Diploma in Data Science STANDARD ADMISSION PREREQUISITES 1. Alberta high school diploma, verified by transcript, or non-Alberta equivalent, OR 2. Successful completion of the General Equivalency Diploma (G.E.D.) And 3. Obtain at least 65% in Grade 12 Math or demonstrate introductory knowledge of computer coding And 4. Satisfactory interview with the school advisor. Note: All applicants must meet a minimum of Canadian Learning Benchmark (CLB) level 7. MATURE ADMISSION Minimum age of 21 years. Satisfactory result on an equivalency test. Must complete an academic achievement test to demonstrate required competency. It is required that it be a standard test such as CAAT (Canadian Adult Achievement Test), TABE (Test of Adult Basic Education), or Wonderlic. The following benchmarks are required for admission. Obtain at least 65% in Grade 12 Math or demonstrate introductory knowledge of computer coding. Test Name Minimum Score CAAT Level C or D with min score of 24 out of 50 TABE 11 or 12 with min score of 350 Wonderlic BST 300 out of 500 Wonderlic SLE 23 out of 50 INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS' ADMISSION In addition to the standard admission requirements, international applicants are required to fulfil the following requirements: transcript verification, and proof of English language proficiency. Transcript Verification Transcripts are verified via any of the following the standard verification agencies: World Education Services (WES) International Qualifications Assessment Service (IQAS) Proof of English Language Proficiency (applies to both Standard and Mature admission) All applicants must demonstrate English Language Proficiency, which will enable them to succeed in their diploma programs. Proficiency must be demonstrated regardless of citizenship or country of origin. Students who have completed at least three years of formal full-time study at an English secondary or two years of formal full-time study at an English post-secondary institution (as verified by transcripts) with proof of education in English, will have satisfied the English Language Proficiency requirement for the diploma program. Candidates who have not completed at least three years of formal full-time study at an English secondary or two years of formal full-time study at an English post-secondary institution (as verified by transcript),are required to provide proof of English proficiency. These candidates need to achieve Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) 7 for admission to the diploma program. Candidates may select any one of the below exams and must achieve a minimum score in each skill category (reading, listening, writing, and speaking) to be eligible for admission to the diploma program.
