Admission Requirements
General Admissions Requirements: All applicants must meet with an admission representative and fulfil the College's English Language Proficiency Requirements in addition to ONE of the following criteria: Standard Admission:  Alberta high school diploma or equivalent verified by Official Transcript. Applicants who have obtained a High School diploma outside Canada from an institution where English was the language of instruction must have their transcripts verified through the International Qualifications Assessment Service (IQAS) or World Education Services (WES). Mature Admission: Students must meet ALL of the following criteria:  Be at least 18 years of age prior to admissions (19 out of province); and  Successful completion of the College's Admissions Test. o CDIAT - Minimum passing score 490 Reading and 499 overall College's English Language Proficiency Requirements: Evidence of English proficiency is required upon admission by meeting one of the following: 1. High school graduation or equivalent from an institution where the program is delivered in English, verified by proof of transcript. 2. English 10, or higher, from an institution where the program is delivered in English, verified by proof of transcript. 3. Accepted English Language Proficiency Assessment Test Scores (for programs that do not have a specific level listed on the program outline)  IELTS - Minimum score - Band 5.0 overall  CELPIP - Minimum score - 5  CAEL - Minimum score -35  TOEFL IBT -Minimum score - 35  Duolingo - Minimum score -80-90 Note: It is an asset for students who have volunteer or paid work experience with children who have required support in school or a related setting. PRACTICUM PREREQUISITES  Provide a negative criminal record check with vulnerable sector search; and  Provide completed immunization report showing current immunization and free of communicable diseases, including Negative TB skin test or chest x ray (form provided by college).
