Admission Requirements
Standard Admission Students must meet all the following criteria: 1. Successful interview with school administration. 2. Good English skills with a minimum of Benchmark 5.5 in both verbal and written English. 3. Thirty-three credits towards an Alberta High School diploma, verified by transcript, with 50% or better in a Grade 10 English and a Grade 10 Mathematics, or non-Alberta equivalent. 4. Submission of a medical certificate stating the applicant is in good health and able to work as a Care Aide. 5. Submission of a clear criminal record check. Mature Admission Students must meet all the following criteria: 1. Out of High School for two (2) years. 2. Successful interview with school administration. 3. Good English skills, with a minimum of Benchmark 5.5 in both verbal and written English. 4. Successful result on an aptitude test, administered by the school. (Aptitude test results placing the applicant at a Grade 10 English level are required). 5. Submission of a medical certificate that the applicant is in good health and able to work as a Care Aide. 6. Submission of a clear criminal records check. In addition, students will be required to submit up-to-date immunization prior to commencing the practicum/clinical component of the program.

This program is eligible for full-time post-secondary assistance by Alberta Student Aid for the funding year 2023/08/01 to 2024/07/31*.
