The integrity of computer systems and security of user data sets the need for highly trained, multi-disciplined computer security professionals. The proposed program in systems security will train students to enter the vital and growing field of computer and information technology security. Discussions with those in IT support the need for graduates specializing in IT security.

Admission Requirements

Completion of the following courses or equivalents:

  • At least 65% in Math 30-1 or at least 70% in Math 30-2 or Applied Math 30, AND,

  • At least 60% in English Language Arts 30-1, or at least 65% in English Language Arts 30-2.

  • All applicants must demonstrate English Language Proficiency prior to admission, including students educated in Canada.

  • All qualified students will enter selection.


Student Aid

This program is eligible for full-time post-secondary assistance by Alberta Student Aid for the funding year 2024/08/01 to 2025/07/31*.

  • Tuition $14,280.00 Year One
  • Books/Supplies/Instruments $3,000.00 Year One
  • Mandatory Fees $1,608.00 Year One

* Tuition, books, supplies, instruments, and other/mandatory fees are provided to Alberta Student Aid and may be used when processing full-time post-secondary funding applications. The educational costs provided are based on a 100% full-course load and may not reflect current or all educational costs charged by the school.
