Admission Requirements
All applicants must be 18 years old or older. If applicant does not have an Alberta high school diploma, a non-Alberta equivalent or a General Equivalency Diploma (G.E.D.) they will be able to enter the program under a mature admission. To be eligible under the mature admission, students must have a minimum of English Language Arts 10-1, 10-2 or 10C. All applicants who fall under the mature admission requirement will have to successfully complete with a score of 70% or above, the academic achievement test, Canadian Achievement Survey Test for Adults (CAST) to demonstrate their competency for the program. Participants whose first language is not English must have a Canadian Language Benchmark level of Stage 2 (CLB 5-8) in order to enter into the program. The students that require this testing will be referred to Central Alberta Refugee Effort (CARE) to complete the testing. Central Alberta Refugee Effort (CARE) uses the Canadian Language Benchmarks Assessments (CLBA). The CLBA uses a nationally standardized scale to describe adult learners' English proficiency in the four skill areas of speaking, listening, reading, and writing. Every applicant for the Life Enrichment Support Worker Program will go through an assessment process that includes an interview with the program manager or the program facilitator.

This program is eligible for full-time post-secondary assistance by Alberta Student Aid for the funding year 2024/08/01 to 2025/07/31*.
