Pharmacy Assistant Admission Requirements Admissions Requirements Pharmacy Assistant Program (PA) Admissions Requirements Standard Admission: Student must meet the following criteria: 1. Alberta High School Diploma, verified by transcript with a 50% or better in grade 12 English, or non-Alberta equivalent. OR 2. (Alberta) High School Equivalency Diploma, verified by transcript, or non-Alberta equivalent. And ALL of the following criteria:  Physical ability to do the job  Successful interview with school administration  Successful result on a keyboarding test administered by the school (15 wpm or greater). Practicum Requirements:  Submission of a clear vulnerable sector check Mature Admission: Students must meet all of the following criteria:  Must be 18 of years of older  Must be out of high school for two or more years  Successful result on an aptitude test (Wonderlik SLE) administered by the school (equivalent to grade 12)  A minimum Canadian Language Benchmark level 7 or equivalent.  Physical ability to do the job  Successful interview with school administration  Submission of a clear vulnerable sector check  Successful result on a keyboarding test administered by the school (15 wpm or greater). Practicum Requirements:  Submission of a clear vulnerable sector check Approved English Language Proficiency Tests Tests benchmarked at a CLB 7 for all 4 language skills (speaking, listening, reading and writing). Official results must be submitted directly to ABES. 1. International English Language Testing System (IELTS) Academic: 6 (no section score below 5.5); 2. Test of English as a Foreign Language Internet Based Testing (TOEFL iBT): 71; 3. Canadian English Language Proficiency Index Program (CELPIP) General: 7 (with no section score below 6); and 4. Canadian Language Benchmarks/Milestones Test (7 in each strand, not an average of 7). 5. Duolingo Test min. score 95

This program is eligible for full-time post-secondary assistance by Alberta Student Aid for the funding year 2024/08/01 to 2025/07/31*.
