You can use the Alberta Post-Secondary Application System—ApplyAlberta—to apply to a program at one or more of Alberta’s post-secondary institutions.
ApplyAlberta lets you create a profile that lists your education and your personal information. When you apply to an Alberta college or university, this information is automatically filled in on your application.
Here’s what you need to get started:
1. A basic Alberta.ca account
2. Your Alberta Student Number (ASN). You can request your ASN online, get it from your school, or find it on an official document like a report card or school ID card.
3. The names of all the high schools and post-secondary institutions you have attended or are currently attending
4. Your high school courses and marks (if you are a Canadian student currently enrolled in high school). You can order high school transcripts from Alberta Education’s self-service website, myPass.
5. A credit card or other accepted payment method to pay your chosen institution’s application fee
If your chosen school is not listed in ApplyAlberta
Contact your school directly or check its website for information on how to apply.
