Academic Upgrading

Northern Alberta Institute of Technology
www.nait.caNAIT’s Academic Upgrading program is designed for adults from a variety of academic backgrounds. We offer flexible programming to help the learner gain the entrance requirements for post-secondary programs.
Semesters are 12-15 weeks in length with day, evening and online options available so you can work around your personal and professional commitments. Small class sizes and instructor-led training make for an ideal learning environment.
Acceptance into the program can begin in Fall, Winter or Spring with a grade 10 English 10-1 or 10-2 requirement. An online application must be completed to begin. Alberta Works – Foundational learning program can possibly be a support with your finances. Apply and research early to determine your eligibility. All students must submit an application through the Alberta Post-Secondary Application System (APAS).!div>
Note: Any student with Applied Math 10 or 20 must begin at Math 10C, unless the student takes a placement test that indicates a higher level placement. Students with Applied Math 30 must begin at Math 20T. Math 14 and 24 and Science 14 and 24 are not considered to be academic level courses and cannot be used as prerequisites for any grade 11 or 12 math or science courses.
For applicants who hold/are applying for a temporary foreign visa and have applied to the Academic Upgrading program at NAIT, please complete the Academic Upgrading Choice Form.
