Your action plan defines how you will accomplish your goal.
The first step is to break things out into manageable pieces.
- Copy 1 goal that you identified and paste it into the field labelled “goal.”
- Break each goal into smaller steps: these are the tasks you need to complete to achieve your goal.
- Figure out when you'll achieve each task.
- Add as many tasks as you need to complete your larger goal.
- Print or email your action plan.
- Repeat the steps above for each goal you identified.

Here's an example of an action plan for what one of your goals might be if your dream is to have a business of your own.

Gather available print and electronic information about self-employment by July 15.

Task: Visit the library at the downtown Business Link office.

Complete by: June 20
Task: Check what's available on the Service Alberta, Service Canada, and Industry Canada websites.

Task: Register for the business start-up seminar at the Business Link.
